Searching for Fun Cat Beds

Now normally I’m a dog guy but I thought I would show some love to the cat lovers out there. I was recently speaking to a friend who is a HUGE cat person. She owns two cats and fosters three more kittens that are up for adoption. She was online looking for new cat beds. We were amazed at some of the fun, new and exciting styles available.

Cat beds aren’t as boring as you may think; to the contrary, they are available in a range of designs. They can be very simple like a thin pillow to fancy structures with electric heating elements for those chilly nights or pads filled with cool water for hot summer days. There are a few important aspects to consider when evaluating a design. These are size, portability, accessibility. Also, does the bed provide privacy, compatibility with your decor, stability, and safety? I bet you never realized there were so many factors involved with choosing a bed for your kitty.

Cats search love to nap and when they do they search out for the most comfortable places where they won't be disturbed. Providing your kitties with one or two perfectly irresistible beds, they will be far less likely to insist on napping in places where you don't want them to such as on your clothes.

I decided to look for some lists of fun ways to spoil your cat with an awesome bed and even came up with one of my own:

Upcycled cat bed – I love this bed for a number of reasons. First it’s eco-friendly since you are upcycling old suitcases. Also, think about all the different design combinations you can come up with; it would only be limited by your imagination.

Shark bed – What cat wouldn’t feel right at home sleeping in a bed shaped like a shark? All it needs is some laser-beams and Dr. Evil will be very pleased.

Kitty Cradle – I think this bed is perfect for cat owners who don’t have a lot of space for an oversized cat bed. It attaches to the legs of a chair and provides a little hammock for your kitty.

Those were just a few of the fun cat beds we found. If I ever am reincarnated in another life, I want to come back as a cat; that’s if I can’t come back as a spoiled dog of course! If you have an interesting cat bed, I’d love to hear about it.
