a maze of sorts

*NOTE* all doorways should be sized according to your pet(s)! keep in mind this is only an example!

this can be made as big or small as you want it with as many or as few doorways as you like. i found that the more doorways i made the more my hammies loved it! you may want to start out with a piece of paper and sketch out exactly how you want all your walls set up before you start cutting. this will save you time in the long run. start by cutting your boarder pieces. be sure to keep them at least six inches higher than the maze walls. since your pet wont be able to reach the outside of these walls it will be alright to use tape (box tape works best) to hold them together just be sure there are no gaps between pieces. next cut out how many pieces you need (this is where your drawing comes in handy) and lay out each piece where it should go. next cut all doorways (be sure to keep in mind the size of your pet) then cut you slits and slide your pieces together (for directions on slits see the puzzle castle blog). keep in mind that this does not have to be perfect. the only thing your pets will be concerned about is the new fun place you have created for them!
