Everyone should know that Valentine's day is about love and affection. But not just for humans.
. I see every day, as a day to celebrate with my pets. I'm talking about a party, but something special to do every day.
Take steel on a longer walk/hike, or to a different hiking area, (because going on the same walk gets boring).
. Giving gifts. Toys, treats, or love. All pets love, love. Make sure you dont give them to much food, treats, or love. They may… Continue

I made a blog before about my cats and dogs many health problems. Here's an update. The flea problem; i bought more flea medicine(vectra) and capstars(pills that kills fleas in 20 mins). Every pet took them, some didnt like having a pill shoved down their throat(cats), steel was use to this(because I give him lots of pills and medication). Within 30 minutes, the cats were licking like crazy, itching, scratching. Shakespear got so crazy about the fleas that he jumped on a scratching post and… Continue

Dogs need to walk. Dogs cant be indoors or in the backyard all day. Why? dogs naturaly need to migrate somewhere. I take my dog on an average of 2, 35 minute bike runs every day. Dogs need a minunum of 40 minutes out of the house, walking. Not in a car or in a fenced area. Fun ways to walk your dog, bike rides, scooter walks, jogging, running, walking, picnic or outdoor party. Taking a dog to a park is good too. Try taking the dog to the pet stores like petsmart and petco, they allow pets. Some… Continue

Some people can't say no to another animal. They want to adopt or rescue as many as they can. They work hard to be caring pet owners, but sometimes they get overwhelmed. Owning too Continue
many pets can put a strain on them, their homes, their finances, their families and even their pets. It may even put them in danger of having their animals confiscated, of being fined or even arrested. Nobody wants to see that…

Pet owners have been turning to pet health insurance coverage -- that works almost like human medical insurance -- to assist them to pay for the cost of the regular and emergency veterinary services that can arise. A variety of pet insurance companies offer a variety of policies that differ according to restrictions, deductions and pre-existing conditions. A lot of pet policies supply coverage for the kind of costs that pet owners face both for ordinary checkups and in emergency situations… Continue

Even though your key priority in a pet medical emergency is to find a certified emergency vet, however arming yourself with the knowledge of how to supply basic pet first aid may prove invaluable in a critical situation . One of the most important things you could do presently is to ensure you have the correct provisions at hand as well as the right information and contact information for a vet, poison control center and area animal shelter. With any emergency situation, having a calm and… Continue

While bigger and more responsive pets are popular with pet owners, spare a thought for the humble goldfish.
My goldfish swims around in her bowl happily all day, and it's always a treat to walk past and see her. Sometimes I get worried she's not there as she's good at hiding - not an easy thing in a goldfish tank. Apparently this is because goldfish are aware thatthey are prey animals and need to have stuff to hide behind. And here was me thinking thet the fake vegetation in the tank… Continue

How many pets do you have? What's the strangest pet you've had? What would be your dream pet?
I don't have any pets just now, apart from the goldfish. I am so busy at work it just wouldn't be fair on a dog or a cat.
I've never had any strange pets. But my ideal/ dream pets would probably be considered strange - I'd like to keep llamas, and maybe a turtle.
What about you?…

What first started out as a activity that just children participated in when enjoying their adolescence has become an activity that most adults partake in now a days. The common activity that I am talking about is the dressing of our dogs. This has turned into a popular activity that has made dog clothing store's pop out in the middle of no where and these stores are a good investment since it seems that everyone is doing this.
It is not just dog clothing that is profitable from the… Continue

I have no idea why I am writing this. Believe it or not I feel guilty and in a way disloyal to my long time veternarian of 119 years. He, himself is a good person and awesome vet. A 3 hour wait time and time again, year after year has just warn me down. Out of loyalty to him and his services I stayed. He has always treated my animals well and healed their many illnesses and wounds.
This has been a rough couple of years for vet bills with Shyann's spinal surgery, two seperate, huge cystic… Continue

Q: I use air fresheners in my home, but have been told I shouldn't. Are they bad for my health?
A: It certainly looks like they are. Recent research strongly suggests that they raise your risk of a number of pulmonary diseases. Last year researchers found that being exposed to chemicals from air fresheners as little as once a week may increase your odds of developing asthma symptoms by 71 percent. And a 2006 study showed that people with high blood levels of the chemical 1,4… Continue
