Last night, July 27 2009, we went to Bear's first class and I was really surprised! I knew he had calmed down a lot since getting neutered but he still surprised me. He responded better to the instructor than he did me! I'm the one that needs the training, just like Cesar says. I can't believe the difference the prong collar makes in control. On Thursday June 4th. I took Bear to his first visit to the vet to get checked out. He's pretty well mannered for a 120 lbs. of muscle! The check up went well for the most part. The vet said that he was crypt orchid, and that it should be taken care of A.S.A.P., as it could develop into cancer. I planned on getting him neutered anyway, so I inquired as to the cost. I knew the day would come, but it's never easy when it does. I had to say goodbye today to my boy Max. He has been going slowly downhill for the past 4 or 5 months, and today when I got home I found him in the backyard with his hind legs sprawled out from underneath him. He was so weak he couldn't get up on his own. So about 5:10 pm I took him to the local VCA Vet office and had him put to sleep. It was the second hardest thing I've ever had to do.
