My husband and I were forced to move, and cannot take our sweet and loving beagle Cindy with us. It is breaking our hearts. We are seeking a home for our baby, preferably on Long Island or Queens so we can check on her and provide her with any needs she may have. We are willing to pay for her food, vet bills, grooming and bathing, treats and anything else. However she needs a home, where she can be comfortable, let out, fed and gets the occasional belly rub. Her needs are so few, and the love she gives and joy she brings is so great.

Cindy is a beagle mix, approximately 25 pounds and a senior citizen. She is extremely healthy, up to date with her vaccinations and is extremely loving and affectionate. Because of her advanced age she no longer takes walks, but likes to spend time outside in a yard, and wants to sleep in any room where she can be close to people. Cindy loves long naps, having her belly rubbed and like all hounds she LOVES food. Cindy can eat herself into oblivion if given the opportunity, so all food items must be put above snout level. Cindy can be vocal at times but is not as vocal as purebred Beagles, and she rarely howls. Cindy prefers being the only pet in a house but she gets along with animals of all kinds, including other dogs and cats. She must be kept either on a leash or in an enclosed back yard as she may catch a scent and follow it off to the ends of the earth. She loves rides in the car, or being anywhere people are. Cindy is in need of a loving, patient home. Because she is a senior she requires a special diet and treats the help support her hip and joints as she is having some hip trouble, consistent with her age. She does not tolerate people food well (though she loves to eat it) so she should not be fed table food (especially dairy products).
