Did you know that there's 1 million people in the US that claim to own wolfdogs and only 25% of that million own an animal with ANY wolf blood? And of that 25% that actually do have wolfdogs, only 5% were NOT lied to about the content of the wolf in their animal?
I didn't know that, very interesting. I love wolves and it makes me sick that they are so maligned and everyone wants to kill them. They have a right here just as any other animal has, I hope they will not become extinct like so many other species have become. They are beautiful animals and deserve to live and thrive just as any others do.
They have always been sacred to our Native Americans, and I just don't understand the ignorance that is so prevalent against them. They are God's creation just as the other animals on this earth are and we need to learn to protect and cherish them.
A lot of people don't know this. ^_^ The likelihood of coming across someone with a real wolfdog is as rare as coming across someone with a pet lion, but people don't know this because there are so many people who supposedly own a "wolf hybrid" when that isn't the case at all.
And yes, especially in Wyoming and Idaho there are a lot of anti-wolf extremists. They make me sick. I hope they realize their mistakes before it's too late. It would crush me if the wolf became extinct, but luckily right now, their numbers are stable. With the recent new law change in Wyoming, though, it might not be any longer.
