Dearest Roxie,

Thank you for being there when I am sad or tired with a wagging tail & a wet kiss. Thank you for being excited to see me. I always look forward to coming home to your welcomes!

Thank you for trying to protect me from the little Yorkie down the street when we go on our walks. And barking at the big bad deer that we saw the other day.

Thank you for helping me to sleep at night by sleeping on the pillow next to my head & snoring sweetly.

I am the luckies pet parent in the world to have you!!!!! I will love you always!

giving thanks to both of my pet children, living and non living you both brought me joy in your own special way, Raven she was the first and Dakota who's here now. Raven, was the one with a big heart even thou she was the smallest, she would have a big present when she entered a room, everyone notice her no matter what, she never made a sound and she kept a low profile, but never the less she was alway noticed. Dakota on the other hand totally the opposite, when he entered a room you would know he's there no doubt about it you knew when dakota was there. both with their own personalty was a joy to remember. raven warmth and Dakota's present and I thank them for being who they are.

Dearest Katya,

Yeah, it’s me. Your second-favorite parent, the one you’re never going to love the way that you love Mom. The one you’re always going to cower from, when it’s time to get leashed up for a walk. The one whose very presence will continue to make you cringe and flatten — through no fault of my own.

We’ll never know what happened to you or how you lived for your first two years — what drove you to run to the fields and woods till you were half wild and half dead. We’ll never know what abuse you suffered to put such fear into you. We’ll never know. And I’ll never forgive.

I’ve heard anecdotally that adopted Huskies tend to bond intensely with one member of the household, to the exclusion of others. That’s how it’s been with you. What I see between you and Mom — the way you follow her, gaze at her, relax around her — it humbles me, and it makes me jealous as hell. When you and Mom run together, you are a pack of two; you’ll walk with me, but when you do, I am your jailer.

So why do I love you so much, you beautiful, screwed-up creature? Why do I set myself up for this heartbreak? Because I can’t not love you. You are my responsibility, my trust and my charge. Man’s got to love his dog, because that’s what a man does. Because it’s a good thing, sometimes, to give unstintingly of oneself without expectation of recompense. It builds character, or makes a man a better Christian, or however you want to phrase it. Because the heart is like a bone. When you break it, it mends — and when it mends, it is stronger than it was before.

From you — because of you — I have learned patience, and forgiveness, and perseverance. And hope, eternal hope. Because I still believe that love will conquer fear. It may take a long time, but it will come right in the end. You may never love me as you love Mom, but that’s okay: I can love enough for both of us.

My dearest Hailey-bo-bailey, Comet-bomet, Cuckily, Trooper and Teetoo.

Inside of me has had so many lonely moments over my lifetime. There were days I even doubted my own reasons for existance. Kitten (RIP) started things off for you, and you have continued on from him.

How did you all learn to read my mind? How did you learn to look at me in such a way that I could read yours? You all say the silliest things to me, and make me giggle, even when i don't want to. You opened up a world to me that I never knew could exist.

You saved your daddy's life, and for that I will always be eternally grateful. You have saved my life as well, because now I'm a mommy. I always wanted a handful of kids, and now I finally get to have it.

You are such loving creatures, and I wanted to let you know that no matter what you do, what you poop on, pee on, chew, bite, lick, barf up, step in, roll in...... I will never let you down, I will never send you away, I will never stop protecting you with every ounce of maternal love in me.

I would die for you all.

Love mommy.

To my beloved Klausie, first I want to thank you for coming into mine and Brandons life. You were the bestest and always will be the bestest doggie EVER. You taught me unconditional love something I never really knew. If you had thumbs you would have brought me tissues when I was sad. You always had the right expression at the right time. Of course your kinda droopy sad eyes were always irresistable. I miss you terribly every day but I am blessed and thank you for the almost ten years of wonderful funny antics loving days with you.

Love Mommy

Hi Scrappy

Thanks for getting over your fear of being out side so now I have company with me and you are so good at not leaving the back yard so I can pick you up to bring you back in side again.

I is so nice to listen to your little mewling chit chats and rub your soft fury tummy :)

It has been nothing short of an honor to have been the human Mom to my many, many pets. Each one so unique and different I can't just write a letter about one. If I did I would write a novel individually.
Oh how you make my Heart smile. Isabel (Vosmaeri Eclectus) Saying "Hello" in that sweet Ekkie voice, Petemann with his undying loyalty always at my side or feet. I am never alone with him and for that I am so very grateful.
Shyann, My oldest girl, so intelligent and athletic in her youth. Your intelligence is awesome. Shelby, is my goofy, never bother anyone or anything. The gentelest of souls. Jet Li, your the newcomer and what a warm joy you have brought. Your intellect isn't that of your Border Collie sister, but you are a love. I can never take a shower alone and that brings comfort. Just knowing that little love soul is right there brings warm fuzzies. Your funny face and that head-turning pug-thing makes me laugh and act silly and child-like and for that I so thank you. Kylee bug, You are my spirited one. You are a constant reminder of all that is independent in a girl & woman, fearless, proud. A wonderful Huntress and athlete. Even your stubborness I admire. You remind me to keep my head up and be strong.
For each of you and those than have gone to rainbow bridge, You each have brought me peaceful comfort. A loyal and kind friend, a funny friend, a friend who always listens without judgement. A tolerable and patient friend, a friend, a real, trustworthy friend always.
You all have my eternal gratitude forever and beyond.
