PetBrags Pet Community Rules and Policies
Includes Site Usage (IM, Page Privacy & Friend List)
Please help us keep the site safe and fun for all.
 

SITE RULES:

1. Member Profile Photo: A member profile photo/avatar is preferred.  Plus, it's amazing how much quicker our members make friends when they upload some type of profile photo.  We would prefer that you upload a photo of your pet, but that's your choice (PG Rated required.)  Younger members please be careful uploading photos of yourself.
2. Advertising: No advertising without written permission or premium sponsorship AD subscription, except within your page. Feel free to advertise within your page, your pet related products, services, blogs, or any (PG Rated) pet related content, that you feel would be nice to share with other pet-lovers.  Bloggers, you can even include your RSS Feed from within your PetBrag's Profile page.  After all, sharing content, and making new friends, is what Social Networking is all about. Please, no competing site advertising, period.
3. Links: Exchange links of pet related sites and bloggers with pet related content are welcome.  If you want to share your links to other Social Networks, feel free.   No links or advertising to competing sites. This is strictly enforced.
4. SPAM: If you are joining PetBrags, just to invite our members to other Social Networks, please do not join. Your account will be banned. This is considered spam, and no one enjoys receiving unsolicited spam.
5. Selling Pets: No advertising or selling pets/animals.
6. No Adult Content (including Animal Activist material): We do not allow any kind of Adult Content, period. This includes any and all Animal Activist type material (photos, videos, content, etc.) This is also strictly enforced.
7. Age Requirement: If you are under 13 years old, you may NOT join PetBrags (sorry, legalities to protect children, which is a good thing!)
8. Parents/Guardians and Accounts: If you are under 13 years old, you are required to have a parent or guardian join PetBrags. Additionally, you must get their permission to use their account, and they must supervise the account on a regular basis.
9. Animal/Pet Rescue Shelters: We give special privileges to any organization or individual who helps in the rescue, or adoption of pets and animals. If you fit this criteria, and want to add valued content to the site, simply (a) Add your content as a blog (not a forum/discussion) from your PetBrag's Profile Page and, (b) Send a message to PetBrags that you added the blog.  We will review the content, and if it is within our guidelines, we will add it to our featured blogs.  Our featured blogs are broadcast throughout the Internet.  This is a great way to give your Animal Rescue Shelter extra exposure, and to spread the word.
10. PG Rated: We are a PG Rated, family oriented, kid friendly site. We monitor the site on a regular basis. Please respect our policies. It makes for a better environment for everyone. One of our primary goals is to keep PetBrags fun and safe for all.

Copyrighted Material/Content:
If you upload or publish any copyrighted content or material, whether it be a photograph(s), videos, music, copy/text, or any other uploads you perform, you are 100% responsible for violating the copyright laws that apply to the copyrighted material, you have added to PetBrags.

Online Safety and Responsibility: We go to great lengths to keep PetBrags a family oriented and kid-friendly PG-13 Rated site. We cannot guarantee this rating.  But, we will do everything possible to keep it that way. We monitor the site as closely as possible, in an attempt to keep it safe and fun for all. However, in no capacity, will we take any responsibility whatsoever, for your online safety, online experiences, your mental or physical condition as a member of PetBrags, or anything to do with your online friendships or actions. You agree to take responsibility for your experiences on PetBrags, in full (100%). If you are under our age limit of 13 years old, and you are not using a parent or guardian's account (monitored closely by your parent or guardian, the account owner), you are 100% responsible for your dishonesty and  fraudulent activity.

We reserve the right to ban anyone from PetBrags:
PetBrags is RATED PG-13. We reserve the right to ban anyone from anywhere on our site, for any reason. We also reserve the right to moderate, warn or ban any member for any conduct or content that we may determine (at our sole discretion) to be abusive, vulgar, racist, or otherwise unacceptable. Here are some "sure fire" ways to get banned. If you are rude, crude, obnoxious, become a nuisance to other members, threatening, or EVEN disrespectful to others while chatting, your account will be BANNED, with no warning. Once BANNED, there is NO going back. Disclaimer: ALL chat logs are read DAILY. However, we make no guarantees to you that we will catch everything that could be deemed inappropriate. Although, we will always put forth great efforts to keep PetBrags a kid friendly and family oriented site. If something inappropriate is inadvertently missed, please report this as abuse. You shall remain solely responsible for any content you enter, anywhere on this site.

We strongly encourage younger and adult members to make friends in their own age groups:
We strongly encourage our younger members and our adult members to make friends with, and chat with, members in their own age groups. We can't possibly enforce this. However, if we ask a member to terminate conversation with another member, whether it be via IM, chat box, email, or page comments - -  and that member does not follow this request, we will ban their account.

Your Privacy:
Your private data will never be shared with anyone, period. Your privacy is very important to us. We do not use your hidden data for any reason except to: (1) attach your Pet’s Web Page to you and, (2) to send general email notifications (which you can STOP by editing your “Network Settings” ) and (3) for general analysis of your data for demographics, and for the purposes of marketing.  We promise never to share or spam your email account, period. Other members will not see required data, except your Pet‘s name - - EVER.

Site Usage & Instructions (IM, Page Privacy & Friend List):
Games: Younger Members, your parents/guardians need to approve the games you play on PetBrags. We cannot guarantee the rating of these games. We have the ability to easily remove any game. If anyone sees a game that is truly inappropriate, please notify Bragger. If a game is a decent Adult game, it will not be removed. We make it extremely clear in this document (our policies and rules), children must have guardian supervision to use PetBrags, period. We do our very best to keep this site as kid-friendly as possible. But, we CANNOT, and do not claim to, monitor every move; and under NO circumstances whatsoever, will we be held responsible or liable for your actions or reactions, while on PetBrags.com.

IM (Instant Messenger): We cannot prevent another member from sending you inappropriate instant messages. The IM has been installed on the site, for your entertainment and convenience. This IM service is a third-party service. Children must be monitored closely when using the IM. You can shut the IM off completely to prevent any inappropriate issues. Click on your IM icon, click "Ignore All Messages", and click on SAVE. No one can IM you, when these steps are taken. If you are using the IM, and you receive inappropriate messages from a member, please report this ASAP.

Page Privacy: You have the ability to keep anyone from viewing your page, except your chosen friends and moderators. To set your Page Privacy, follow these steps.
(1) Click on "My Settings"
(2) Click on "Privacy"
(3) Under "Who can see your personal page?", click "My Friends Only"

De-friend a current friend: Go to "My Friends", search for the unwanted friend, click on the X to remove them from your friend list. Or, go to their page, under their member photo, click on "Remove as Friend".
